Expression of Interest - Technical Associate

The Barbados Accreditation Council (BAC) has commenced the pilot implementation phase of the Barbados Qualifications and Credit Framework (BQCF). The BQCF will be the major mechanism to transform education and training in Barbados. By design, the BQCF will consolidate the delivery of education and training under a single framework; make it easier for learners to enter the educational system and to move and progress horizontally and vertically within it; improve the educational quality in Barbados; expand access to learning and work opportunities for all; and enable learners to develop to their full potential.

  • The main objective of the Services will be to provide technical assistance to the BAC and to external stakeholders on the implementation of the BQCF, evaluate submissions by tertiary educational providers for recognition of qualifications and provide status reports.
  • Further information on the proposed BQCF may be obtained from the BAC.’s website at www.bac.gov.bb. The Terms of Reference for the Services are available upon request by emailing info@bac.gov.bb.
  • The Services shall be for one (1) year initially unless terminated earlier or extended for a further period.
  • Respondents must provide information establishing that they are qualified to perform the Services (e.g. resumes/CVs, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, methodology, appropriate skills). In the assessment of submissions, consideration will be given to qualifications and experience on similar assignments.
  • Proposals should be submitted in PDF format via email to eoi@bac.gov.bb  by Friday, February 2, 2018 and addressed to:
