Bridgetown, Barbados – November 10, 2025 – The Barbados Accreditation Council (BAC) has launched “Recognition Matters”, a national campaign designed to highlight the critical role of the Council’s recognition services in assuring the quality of tertiary qualifications and institutions in Barbados.
Running from November 10 – 30, 2025, the campaign aims to help students, employers and institutions better understand the value of BAC recognition. Recognition by the BAC provides assurance that an institution or qualification meets established international quality standards, further empowering individuals. This further builds public confidence in postsecondary/tertiary education, enhances employability and strengthens professional advancement opportunities.
For students, recognition means your hard work is understood and trusted locally and globally.
Lisa Gale, Executive Director of the BAC
For institutions, it means your credentials carry credibility. And for employers, it means you’re tapping into talent whose qualifications are verified, and meaningful.
Throughout November, the BAC’s Quality Assurance Officers will engage the public through a series of outreach activities, including radio interviews and an interactive pop-up event at Sky Mall on November 27, 2025. These initiatives will provide opportunities for the public to learn more about how the Council’s recognition services safeguard quality and credibility within Barbados’ tertiary education system.
