Seasons Greetings from the CANQATE Board of Management
On behalf of the Board of Management of the Caribbean Area Network for Quality Assurance in Tertiary Education (CANQATE), I am pleased to bring you Season’s Greetings and best wishes. At this special time of the year, as you wrap up activities for 2015 it’s often a good time to reflect on your achievements and think about new initiatives and resolutions for the New Year. In this regard, we at CANQATE want to wish you all the best for the season and congratulate you for all of the hard work done during the year.
You may already know a new Board of Management has been elected to manage the affairs of CANQATE for the term 2015 to 2017. The new Board is committed to providing strategic leadership that will facilitate the growth of a Quality Culture and improved student experiences at tertiary institutions across the region. As we deliver on the activities outlined in CANQATE’s Strategic Plan, we want to reach out to all our valued stakeholders across the region to better represent your interest through new and innovative services. The Board will uitlise the following activities to foster collaborative relationships in the higher education community:
- Regular updates through the CANQATE website
- Quarterly Newsletters – Next issue in March 2016
- Webinar Lecture Series – Free to all Members of CANQATE
- External Evaluator Database – Only for Members of CANQATE
- Seminars and Workshops – Free and Discounted for Members of CANQATE
- CANQATE Conference and Annual General Meeting in Georgetown in October 2016
- Quality Assurance Harmonization Project – To be Launched in 2016
Additionally, CANQATE Core Groups are being established and revitalized throughout the region to deliver on CANQATE’s mandate. They will be involved in the hosting of distinct activities, such as events, discussion groups, meetings, social events, workshops, seminars and conferences and projects. Representatives of CANQATE Core Groups will be touch with you directly as we deepen CANQATE’s engagement with external quality assurance agencies throughout the region.
