Cedric H. Murrell is the Chairman of the Barbados Accreditation Council since March 2015.
He has been President of the Congress of Trade Unions and Staff Associations of Barbados (CTUSAB) since 2010. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of NUPW Insurance Agent Inc., Director of the Barbados Entrepreneurial Foundation and the National Initiative for Service Excellence (NISE).
He also serves as a Director on the Board of the Barbados Public Workers’ Cooperative Credit Union Ltd. and is a certified Credit Union Director (CCD)
He served as President of the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW) during the period 1992 to 1994 and 1996; Chairman of the Board of Management of St. George Secondary School and a Constituency Council during the period 2008 to 2013.
Mr. Murrell is the Retired Chief Air Traffic Control Officer. He served as President of the Barbados Air Traffic Control Association (BATCA) for sixteen (16) years and was elected Executive Vice President of the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers’ Associations (IFATCA) for the Americas region in 2006.
He enjoys reading, travelling and performing civic service.
