It was celebrations all around for the University of the West Indies, Open Campus and Cave Hill Campus as they both received the seven (7) years maximum for Institutional Accreditation on June 4, 2019.
In two separate ceremonies, the Chairman of the Board, Ann Lady Hewitt addressed the audience and lauded the institutions for their continued exemplary contribution in providing tertiary education over the years. The Re-accreditation process included an external review by a team of competent regional and international evaluators who met with key stakeholders that included governance and management, faculty and staff, students and graduates, employees’ representatives.
A Mid-cycle Review will take place in three years’ time to ensure that the Council’ accreditation standards are being maintained.
Congratulations once again to The UWI Open and Cave Hill Campuses for this major accomplishment.
